An EU-funded project is responding to the European Commission call to 'advance the applications of evidence based medicine in Europe'. The aim is to strengthen what we know about drug safety, share that knowledge and put it to use as a means of reducing patient deaths and adverse effects related to medicines.

Europe's coasts are home to thousands of marine species precisely adapted to harsh environments and which are likely to produce biological molecules of value to humans. An EU-funded project is working towards finding these molecules for sustainable production in the medical and cosmetics arena.
