A new initiative to reinforce research and technology collaboration between Egypt and the EU has given rise to new projects, initiatives and valuable knowledge exchange.

A European initiative focused on a rare immunological disorder with a poorly characterised pathophysiology, aiming to improve the diagnosis and treatment options for patients. To this end, partners worked to unravel potential triggering factors, delineate the role of cytokines in disease pathology, describe genotype–phenotype associations, and analyse treatment modalities.
