The Second International Conference on Chemical, Ecology and Environmental Sciences will be held from 17 to 18 June 2013 in London, United Kingdom.

Chemicals released into the environment may have a variety of adverse ecological effects. Ranging from death of fish and other to forest decline, ecological effects can be long- or short-term changes in the normal functioning of an ecosystem, resulting in economic, social, and aesthetic losses. These potential effects are an important reason for regulation of pesticides, toxic substances, and other sources of pollution.

The event will bring together scientists, scholars, engineers and students from various universities and the industry to present ongoing research activities, and foster research relations between universities and the industry.

An event entitled 'Applied Bioinformatics & Public Health Microbiology 2013' will take place from 15 to 17 May 2013 in Cambridge, UK.

Genetic data is a treasure trove for researchers and companies interested in how genes contribute to our health and well-being. Researchers are using bioinformatics to identify genes, establish their functions and develop gene-based strategies for preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases. The science of bioinformatics, which is the melding of molecular biology with computer science, is essential to the use of genomic information in understanding human diseases and in the identification of new molecular targets for drug discovery.

Over the past six years we have witnessed a revolution in sequencing technologies that has already had a profound impact on the understanding of genetics and genome biology. New DNA sequencing technologies can sequence up to one billion bases in a single day at low cost, putting large-scale sequencing within the reach of many scientists.
The event will be a multidisciplinary forum for researcher to discuss and exchange views on recent advances in sequencing and bioinformatics relevant to microbiology and virology. It will be illustrating how these advances are being translated to improve public health.
