Hands-on Workshop on Solar Energy and Hydrogen Applications
Tuesday April 4th, 2017, 10:30-17:00
The European Union has set as a goal to increase the share of Renewables in their energy mix to 20% by 2020 as well as to decrease carbon dioxide emissions by as much as 20% compared to 1990 levels. Solar energy conversion technologies are a viable solution to achieve both these targets while the decrease of carbon dioxide emissions can be further helped by the use of hydrogen for electricity production in fuel cells as it produces only water as a byproduct.
To this end, the current state-of-the-art as well as emerging technologies in solar energy and hydrogen applications will be presented in the workshop and subsequently the participants will have hands-on training at the energy conversion facilities of the University.
Attendance is free for graduate students and practitioners that wish to expand their knowledge in the field of energy.
The working language is Greek.
