Global Startup Youth Idea Accelerator in Malaysia

The Global Startup Youth is a 3-day action packed, high intensity, challenging yet fun filled, ‘get stuff done’ bootcamp from 8 – 11 October 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It harnesses the power of youth, their cultural diversity, their domain expertise and their deep conversations about today’s world problems to accelerate them into ventures, ready to be taken to market and scaled.

Global experts in innovation, designers, startup leaders and leading grassroot entrepreneurship players will join as global mentors to help youth build solutions to real world problems. The best ventures will showcase their prototype to world leaders.

Who will be there? Five groups of awesome people:

30 grassroots entrepreneurship leaders from Up Global
30 entrepreneurial leaders from the startup nations
200 youth (18-25 years) from 60 countries
300 youth (18-25 years) from Malaysia
50 next-gen innovators nominated by the State Department
The three goals of the conference are:

Showcase: Show off your awesome work to world leaders and venture investors
Connect: With global youth and startup leaders and youth from 60 different nations
Create: World-beating, scalable solutions to real world problems

Selected participants will be given a scholarship that includes flights, accommodations and participation!

Eligibility
18-25 years old
Passionate in changing the world or creating an impact !
Know the power of teams and co-founders and are excited to work with people from all around the world.
Up for the challenge to come up with an awesome application for a REAL world problem in 3 days!
