European Commision believes that knowing how to manage Intellectual Property (IP) and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) is the ticket to innovation and competitiveness in Europe. The European IPR Helpdesk offers free of charge, first-line support on IP and IPR matters to beneficiaries of EU funded research projects and EU SMEs involved in transnational partnership agreements, especially within the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).
The European IPR Helpdesk is the official IP service of the European Commission, coordinated by the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI) and funded under the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP).
The European IPR Helpdesk offers first-line and free of charge IP advice and support to European SMEs, and to participants in the trans-national EU-funded research and technological development (RTD) framework programmes (FP6, FP7). The scope of support extends to countries that participate in the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP), and FP7 International Cooperation (FP7-INCO).
