The global landscape is changing at a fast pace, calling for the update of competitiveness strategies. Digitalization and technology growth, coupled with the threats of climate change, inequality and social unbalances, and the need for rapid energy transition, are driving big shifts in societies.
The current scenario highlights the connections between local and national competitiveness and the importance of implementing innovation strategies. It also calls for rethinking competitiveness priorities and the social conditions that enable the development and implementation of successful strategies.
The Summit will occur between November 14 and 18. Activities will begin on November 14, with the Annual Meeting for GFCC members and fellows only. There will be plenary sessions on November 15–16 and site visits to Ioannina on November 17–18.
