MANTILITY. The Mentality of Silk

Vassiliki-Zafiria Ypsilanti is the founder of MANTILITY. With Masters Degrees in Cultural Organizations Management and Southeast European Studies and a Bachelor in Political Science, Vassiliki had been working for more than 15 years as a Business Architect while at the same time serving a large public-sector Greek organization as a Project Manager, before she decided to quit her job in 2018 in order to make here vision of MANTILITY come to life.
“With a team of friends coming from different leads of life, we started MANTILITY with a mission (we call it “The MANTILITY movement”) in order to create an eclectic online silk scarves gallery that provides a platform of expression to artists and offers worldwide meticulously crafted scarves in accessible prices. We view our scarves as the noble messengers of silk, canvases for different artists to narrate stories and feelings. Wearing a MANTILITY scarf offers not only the unique touch of a 100% high quality silk artefact, but also brings you closer to the exclusive artistic expression of the designer providing pleasure through your senses”, she states in an effort to pin-point the idealistic approach that united so many creative people under a single idea.
Ypsilanti’s vision aims “to turn the MANTILITY Gallery into a meeting place, a reference point of authenticity and creativity and a multidimensional iconic collective; to make MANTILITY the silk thread to unite the flora and fauna with the peoples, the peoples’ art and their craft”.
