The 1st International Congress of the Hellenic Observatory for the Macolin Treaty and the fight against Match-Fixing with ESIMET will take place at THE MET HOTEL - Thessaloniki on Dec 7th, 2019 from 09:00 am to 18:00 pm.
The purpose of the Hellenic Observatory known as CLEAN SPORTS - indicative and not restrictive -
is to monitor the implementation of the MACOLIN Convention in Greece and abroad, which deals with the fight against manipulated sporting events, the collection of cases involving manipulated matches in Greece and other countries. - members and non-members of the European Union - how the MACOLIN Convention contributes to the fight against manipulated games after its application, the consequences of a fixed game and generally a sporting event in the socio-economic level of all stakeholders including also the consequences to the Intellectual Property such as television rights, trademarks value increase, players value, etc .
The Observatory is responsible to study, analyze, receive a complaint and file reports related to the manipulation of sporting events and as it progresses at all levels in Greece through the RMF programme that can also detect a fixed game in real-time, to compare the progress of the convention in other countries within and outside the EU, as well as the study of specific issues arising as a consequence of the socio-economic situation .
