Description
The programme promotes the mobility of young people and the understanding between peoples through three types of actions:
- Euro-Med Youth Exchanges
- Euro-Med Youth Voluntary Service
- Euro-Med Youth Training and Networking (Contact Making Seminars, Study Visits, Training Courses and Seminars)
During the phase IV of the Programme, it is notably expected that an estimate of around 100 projects will be funded. The projects will be submitted by promoter organisations, within 3 different available actions, in response to the call for proposals launched by Euro-Med Youth Units.
8 countries participate: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Tunisia and Israel. Syria is not taking part to the Programme. Applicants (project leaders) from the Mediterranean partner countries applied directly for grants to their own National Youth Authorities, now responsible through the Euro-Med Youth Unit (EMYU) for grant awarding and the overall management of the programme.
The geographical scope of the Euro-Med Youth programme Phase IV comprises 35 countries: the 27 EU Member States and the 8 Mediterranean partner countries, signatories of the Barcelona Declaration (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Tunisia and Israel).
