European Youth Award

The European Youth Award (EYA) selects and promotes best European innovative students and young entrepreneurs who creatively use Internet and mobiles to create outstanding socially-valuable digital contents addressing the goals defined by the Council of Europe and Europe 2020.

Innovative students and young people under 30 (born after January 1, 1984), from one of the member states of the European Union or Council of Europe can enter their projects on the seven categories:

1. Healthy Life: fitness, nutrition, healthcare
2. Smart Learning: education, e-skills, open science
3. Connecting Cultures: arts, games, diversity
4. Go Green: energy, resource management, sustainability
5. Active Citizenship: free journalism, open government, social cohesion
6. Money Matters: financial literacy, employment, smart consumerism
7. Future Living: e-mobility, urban development, sustainable tourism.

The submitted product or application must be completed after 1 January 2013 (for a project or product completed earlier the submitters have to document that significant alterations and/or improvements and/or additions have been made in the period thereafter).
The submitted project, product or application must be fully functional and operational at the time of submission and must be accessible via Internet whether it is designed for fixed line, broadband or mobile use.
In case of multiple submissions from one and the same submitters, each product, project or application requires a separate registration and release form.
In each of the categories there will be three winners.

The 2014 European Youth Award Nominees will be invited to the EYA Festival in Graz (Austria), from 19 to 21 November 2014.

Deadline to submit entries: 21 July 2014.
