The European Commission has been organizing workshops with the Atlantic Member States to raise awareness on EU funding processes. The objective of this is to support the Atlantic Action Plan and to help stakeholders come up with well-prepared projects.
So far four workshops have been held: Horta (Azores), Brest (France), Bilbao (Spain) and, last month, Cardiff (UK). The next workshop will be held in Cork (Ireland) to discuss 'Research and Innovation, Atlantic Ports and the Atlantic Action Plan.'
The workshop will showcase how research and innovation is driving the Atlantic Strategy and, following feedback from previous workshops, it will also welcome a half-day parallel session on Atlantic Ports. Finally, participants will have an opportunity to discuss the draft Atlantic Action Plan along with the key issues of funding and implementation.
