The Decade of Roma Inclusion Secretariat Foundation is announcing a Call for Proposals for civil society coalitions to monitor the implementation of National Roma Integration Strategies and Decade Action Plans.
The purpose of this Call for Proposals is to encourage Roma NGOs, advocacy organizations, and think tanks, with complementary capacities, to form national coalitions in order to monitor the implementation of National Roma Integration Strategies and Decade Action Plans and to produce and submit civil society monitoring reports to the Decade Secretariat, the European Commission and the public. In the civil society monitoring reports, civil society coalitions will supplement or present alternative information to Decade Progress Reports State parties submit to the International Steering Committee and any other monitoring information States make public concerning implementation of Decade or EU framework objectives. Civil society monitoring reports are not meant to substitute for quantitative monitoring and evaluation by State authorities but to channel local knowledge into national and European level policy processes and reflect on the real social impact of government measures. The civil society monitoring reports will present additional data to official ones, proxy data where there is not official data, or alternative interpretation of published data.
Deadline: 7 October 2013
Open to: Roma NGOs, advocacy organizations, think tanks from Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia or United Kingdom
