The 'AEBIOM European Bioenergy Conference 2013;' will be held from 17 to 19 June 2013 in Brussels, Belgium.
New technological advances are providing an increasingly wide range of environmentally sustainable and cost-competitive renewable energy options. Bioenergy is the largest renewable energy source in Europe and has the potential to provide increased security of energy supply whilst reducing greenhouse gas emissions from energy use.
The conference aims to offer participants an informed update on sustainability legislation, criteria for solid / gaseous biomass, revision of energy taxation and biomass fuel standards. It will feature workshops with a focus on biomass supply, bioenergy markets, financing possibilities and an insight into national renewable energy action plans.
Participants will be offered bilateral networking opportunities with researchers and industry experts. The conference will host an international audience of developers, policy-makers and business leaders with the intention of promoting an exchange of ideas and best practice approaches on alternative sources of energy production.
