The Smart Systems Information Access team from the University of Jaen is working to develop a tool to measure, in real time, opinions posted on social media covering any topic.

The Smart Systems Information Access team from the University of Jaen is working on developing a tool to measure, in real time, opinions posted on social media covering any topic.

It is one of the first Spanish measurements and is trying to incorporate all the complexity of the language in its analysis, including aspects such as irony and sarcasm.

Entrepreneurs are patenting a modular cultivation system which does not use soil, but instead relies on a water circulation system which facilitates the maintaining and growth of leafy vegetables and ornamental plants.

The system is called ‘My Pot’ and it was developed by the business New Garden System, based in the town of Villanueva Mesía, close to Granada, Spain.

Manysafe is a device with GPS that does not need to be charged and helps locate missing people.

ManySafe is a project from Worldpin, a company based in Malaga, and is directed towards children and elderly people with Alzheimer’s or memory problems. It is completely autonomous and it locates the person through a mobile app.
