Green aircraft trajectories on the horizon

EU researchers are looking into changing the flight trajectories of aircraft in order to reduce aviation fuel consumption and emissions. Such flight planning could also lessen the impact of aircraft on the environment.

Higher-efficiency solar panels with no increase in price

Decreasing costs while increasing the efficiency of solar panels is a major European research goal. To achieve this, researchers have designed and built a revolutionary new type of solar panel with much improved efficiency at the same price as a conventional photovoltaic (PV) cell.
