Atomic magnets using hydrogen and graphene

The Autonomous University of Madrid researchers in collaboration with CIC nanoGUNE and the Institut Néel of Grenoble have shown for the first time that the simple absorption of a hydrogen atom on a layer of graphene magnetises a large region of this material. By selectively manipulating these hydrogen atoms, it is possible to produce magnetic graphene with atomic precision. The work has been published in the prestigious journal Science.

The EU-funded MEDIASCAPE project is helping broadcasters provide socially engaging content to viewers using multiple devices.

How do you watch television? Perhaps you move from a traditional cable or satellite broadcast to a streaming service on your PC, tablet or phone? Or maybe you like to ‘multi-task’ during TV time, checking the news on your smartphone or interacting with other viewers on Twitter and Facebook?

Clearly, the way we watch TV has drastically changed. However, the way television is broadcast has essentially remained the same.
