Despite its glorious past as an economic and cultural hub, the Mediterranean is today one of the least interconnected regions across the globe. While hydrocarbons failed to act as catalyst for intraregional cooperation and trade, the European Green Deal and renewable energy
emerge as a new major opportunity for the region. The role of Greece in bridging the Mediterranean by leading that transition could be pivotal.
The Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), within the framework of the Winds of Change project, is organising an online discussion on: “Winds of change: building a Green Deal compliant energy future in the Med”.
The event will be held in English on Wednesday, 20 October 2021 at 17:00-18:30 (EET)/ 16:00-17:15 (CET) and live streaming will be available on the ELIAMEP website and on ELIAMEP’s official accounts on YouTube and Facebook.
