InnoApps EU-China Hackathon Challenge

The European Young Innovators Forum (EYIF), in cooperation with Huawei, AIESEC and Pinch, has launched a new competition for young entrepreneurs.
The competition, entitled ‘InnoApps, EU-China Hackathon Challenge’, invites students and young professionals up to 28 years old, from Europe and China to team up to jointly collaborate, share ideas and jointly create innovative Android mobile apps for smart cities of the future.

How to participate
- Entrants should submit their application form online and describe their app idea in a short video (< 3 min.), and/or a presentation (15 slides) answering the following questions:
- What challenge/ problem/ opportunity for improvement do you see in cities? How to make a city smarter?
- How can an app address such a challenge in an innovative manner?
- What is your past experience with app development?
- How will you benefit from collaborating within a cross-cultural team?

All entry materials must be in English.

The InnoApps Challenge runs in several phases.

Prizes
Only selected finalists will be invited to all-expenses paid hackathon in Brussels, Belgium, in mid-February 2015, which culminates in the live-pitching final on the last day of the hackathon.
The first, second and thrid prize winners will be awarded with cash prizes, mobile phones and promotion via the InnoApps channels.

Applications can be submitted several times until the deadline: 9 November 2014, 23:30 CET.
