16/05/2014 - TANDEM Project Workshop (Athens)

CERTH (BHO of EURAXESS GR) and NHRF (EURAXESS GR Attica) are organizing a workshop, entitled: "Mobility & Researchers careers: A catalyst for excellence in Research and Innovation" at the framework of the European project “Talent and Extended Mobility in the European Innovation Union (TANDEM)”.

During the workshop will present the results of a research conducted in Greece and in other four countries (Switzerland, Denmark, Slovakia and Estonia) from February to May 2013 and involved foreign researchers living and working in theses countries, with a view to identifying problems faced by themselves and their families as long as they live and work abroad. Particular emphasis is given to the work on dual mobility of researchers and their partners (dual career) and problems associated with them. Based on the results of this survey support developed models will presented that allow research institutions to introduce new or adopt existing services to remove barriers and create more favourable conditions in order to settle the researchers in their destination country.

The workshop will be focused on the presentation of a supportive model for Greece and invited representatives from main stakeholders (Ministries, Academia, Private sector & Researchers) will discuss the possibility of its application by Greek institutions.
